So it turns out that everything they say about wine cellars being incredibly dark is absolutely true. I walked through the Patriarche wine cellars in Beaune, and those people clearly did not light the caves with my photography in mind. They said something about low light and the health of wine and the aging process, blah blah blah. How French.
